Since 1991 in various engineering positions within the Mercedes-Benz AG – from production plants to research in innovative software and electronic oriented organizations.
In 2000 he was appointed as Manager for automotive standards software (OSEK/AUTOSAR) and SW-quality (AUTOMOTIVE SPICE).
In 2004 he was appointed as Senior Manager in for EE architecture and advanced communication technology.
Since 2010 he is fully dedicated to 48V and high voltage topics – from first 48V car applications towards advanced inductive charging to the rise of comprehensive HV architectures for vehicle platforms. Thomas department also founded, designed and run the VEFK organization of Mercedes-Benz worldwide.
Thomas Weber is currently head of ‘eDrive architecture and HV system technology’ which is particularly in charge for EMC, HV-Powernet, HV-safety, HV-architecture incl. (domainspecific) EE-Architecture and Cybersecurity.
